My first kit was a Red Pearl set of Ludwig, which I patterned off Don Brewer, the drummer in Grand Funk Railroad. Then I switched to a set of Rodgers. After checking out Dennis Chambers I got into Pearl Drums for over a decade, before landing into the world of Tama. I have a Tama Swingstar (7 piece kit) in Burgendy, a black Tama Classic (5 piece kit) and a black Tama Masters Series (5 piece kit). All hardware preferred by Pearl. The cymbals - various sizes - are from Paiste and Sabian, the sticks are Pro Mark. In cye The Band I also use an Alesis Performance Pad, which features acoustic and electronic drums, percussion and sound effects, that add some extra flavour to the music.
